Upcoming subscription pricing has reportedly been leaked

As has become a tradition, several details of Apple’s upcoming services has leaked. According to a report from 9to5Mac, Apple is planning on launching Apple Arcade alongside iOS 13 for a monthly price of $4.99.

“Apple Arcade will allow iOS, Mac, and Apple TV users to pay a flat monthly fee and access a bundle of otherwise paid apps through the App Store. Now, we’ve discovered that Apple Arcade will likely be priced at $4.99 per month”

9to5Mac also says that the service will come with a one-month free trial, and support family sharing.

But that’s not all…

Bloomberg also published a report late today regarding Apple TV+, Apple’s subscription service for original tv shows and movies. According to the report, Apple is planning on launching the service in November for a monthly price of $9.99. Bloomberg says the content selection will likely be small at first, but grow over time.

“The company will introduce a small selection of shows and then expand its catalog more frequently over several months“

The Apple TV+ subscription will join an increasingly crowded field, alongside Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, HBO Max, Comcast, and AT&T. Only time will tell if it catches on.
